GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE SCHOOL

 

  1. Students are to bring their handbook daily, which should be produced on demand by the principal or any teacher. For the entries made in the column intended for parents in the handbook, the students should obtain the parent’s acknowledgment by signature the very next day.
  2. Students must be in their classroom by the first bell at 8.10 am. Those who arrive earlier must maintain perfect silence (morning silence) in order to set the tone for serious and efficient work. At the stroke of the bell on the days when there is a school assembly, all should march to the assembly ground; on other days they should be in their classrooms, getting ready for the first period.
  3. English is the only language permitted in the school campus for all interactions; formal and informal chats. This is applicable in the school buses too.
  4. All movements on the verandahs (to the library, laboratory, auditorium, activity rooms, playgrounds, etc.) during class hours have to be in silence. This is to avoid disturbance to the neighboring classes.
  5. No student shall leave the school premises during school hours without the principal’s permission. He / She will not to be sent home, even in urgent situation without the written request by the parent/guardian in the prescribed form in the handbook, and unless a duly authorized person comes to take him / her.
  6. A student absent from the class due to illness or some unforeseen circumstances should explain the reason for the absence in the Leave Records in the School Diary as well in an A4 size paper separately signed by his / her parents/ guardian and meet the principal before entering the class. For any other reason prior sanction must be obtained for leave absence from test papers/examination and not attending the HRD talks/programmes designed for the holistic formation of the students without the prior permission of the principal, will be considered a serious breach of school discipline.
  7. Every student is required to participate in at least two of the cultural and one of the sports activities offered in the school.
  8. Students are not permitted to purchase anything from shops outside without the prior consent and knowledge of the school authorities. If ever they want to purchase something they should bring the permission letter from the parents. This is to ensure the security of our children and also to prevent them from buying drug-packed food items.
  9. No student shall contact or be contacted over phone or in person without prior permission of the principal.
  10. Students of one class are not permitted to enter other classrooms without due permission.
  11. The school premises and classrooms should always be kept neat and clean. Students should see that no damage is done to school property including plants and trees in the campus. Scribbling on the walls and furniture is strictly banned.
  12. Playing in classrooms and corridors is prohibited.
  13. The school is not responsible for the loss of text books, note books, tiffin boxes, clothes, money, ornaments, etc. Name and class of the students should be marked on all their belongings.
  14. Students are not supposed to bring valuable articles to school and exchange of articles or money transactions between students is strictly forbidden.
  15. Wearing school uniform, observance of morning silence and obtaining parent’s signature on teacher’s and principal’s remarks and on the absence record in the school diary are obligatory under penalty of exclusion from class.
  16. Discourtesy towards any member of the staff or any act, which affects the discipline and tone of the school, will be seriously viewed and in extreme cases they are sufficient reason for dismissal from school.
  17. Immorality, Subordination, contempt for authority, willful damage to school property, malpractice in examinations etc., are sufficient reasons for immediate dismissal.
  18. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the school campus. Unauthorized materials like books, newspaper, periodicals, CD’s, cameras, pen drives, card readers, etc. should not be brought to the school.
  19. Management reserves the right to amend and alter the Rules and Regulations at par with the timely requirements or as and when it deems fit.
