Marygiri Boarding House, situated in the serene campus of Marygiri Public School Koothattukulam, is a home away from home for those pupils who aspire for excellence in academic and non-academic fields. Managed by the CMI fathers of St. Josephs province, Kottayam, the inmates are motivated and induced to draw out the best in them, physically, spiritually, intellectually and psychologically though proper guidance and counselling, extension lectures by the experts, together with the conducive atmosphere for study.

”A human being is not, in any proper sense a human being, until he is educated”, says Horace Mann. Realizing these facts in letter and spirit, student ts are provided with ample opportunities to develop their talents and abilities in the best way possible. The well set time table namely, early to bed and early to rise, meditation and prayer at the dawn of the day, compulsory sports and games for physical fitness, delicious food for physical nourishment and all the more having five hours study every day aprt from school hours, help students to achieve all round development and academic excellence in its full sense. Students are also given special tuitions in order to make the difficult subjects easy and interesting.

Periodic appraisal of students’ performance is made through continuous and comprehensive evolution by the Rectors and teachers. Every student from class V to XII is given due attention and care in the boarding and parents are informed of their progress in the studies and other fields. As the goals are set and that too clear in the minds of the inmates, it would become easier to go forward to achieve the same. The following words are inscribed in their minds “Incessant industrious work is the only secret of success and no short cut to reach it”.
