Marygiri Public School, a minority educational institution covered under article 30 of the Constitution of India, is run by the Kottayam St. Josephs’ Province of the religious congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The School is directly under the management of Marygiri Educational and Charitable Trust, consisting of a team of Educationists. The education councilor of CMI St. Josephs’ Province, Kottayam is the ex- officio chairman of the trust and the Manager of the school. This congregation is the embodiment of the dreams and visions of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the great educational visionary of the 19th century and the founder of the CMI congregation. CMI religious congregation is one among the leading educational agencies in India which runs more than 460 schools and 35 colleges for higher education.
